From both her New Orleans home and Elysian Fields workroom, Bliss McCall creates artwork based on her photography and travels throughout Louisiana and beyond. While New Orleans itself would provide enough inspiration for most any artist, Bliss taps into inspirational subject matter from her own travels as the basis for her work. From photos of the places she visits as well as her own memories of the color and composition of scenes, Bliss meticulously blends her oil-based paint palettes to achieve detailed recreations of seminal moments and places.
